Rock Around The Blood (Halloween Special) is exactly what it sounds like: a Halloween party built entirely around vocal tracks from the fifties and early sixties.
Our beloved Wolf Man is never far away, and this time he even takes centre stage on the cover, lifted from a panel of Marvel Comics' Werewolf by Night. He's not the only monster invited to the party, but he's certainly one of the guests of honour.
Most of the songs will be familiar to fans of trash rock and horror novelty records, although there are a few surprises along the way. One of them is "El Monstruo" by Los Shains, a wonderfully unhinged Spanish take on The Novas' "The Crusher." I decided not to include the original because I assumed everyone already knew it.
...What do you mean you've never heard "The Crusher"?
That's simply inexcusable!
