Cheap and Nasty - Lost Punk Rock Hits 77-82

  Seventies punk has always been one of my greatest musical passions. I still remember the first Killed By Death compilations beginning to circulate, and the afternoons spent at Jaime Virus' house discovering bands that were completely unknown to us.

  Cheap And Nasty was born from exactly that spirit. It's a tribute to those legendary compilations, although with a broader perspective. Here you'll find relatively familiar names from the underground, such as Pop Rivets, The Pagans and The Bizarros, alongside genuine hidden gems like Charge, Vermillion, Vom, The Bastards and Count Vertigo.

  Because punk didn't appear out of nowhere. It was the result of an evolution that began with the rock'n'roll and rhythm & blues of the fifties and continued throughout the sixties.

  Twenty-five tracks that, half seriously and half jokingly, I like to call Lost Punk Rock Hits.

  Songs that may never have become hits...

but easily could have been.
