  One thing had always been missing from Estación Zombie: sixties soul. That omission had become something of an obsession, because soul was the natural evolution of American R&B and the music that inspired so many of the garage, beat and rock 'n' roll records featured throughout the channel. It was the missing piece of the puzzle.

  These are records born in neighbourhood studios and made for small clubs, sweat-soaked dance floors and long nights that seemed as though they'd never end. Voices without safety nets.
